If you don’t have access to or don’t want to use third-party applications, there is another way to view the contents of an MSG file on Mac.

If you’re on a Mac, you won’t be able to open MSG files natively. It’s likely that when you receive shareable data from someone using Microsoft Outlook for Windows, it’ll come in the form of an MSG file.
